I've always been the girl with the camera, but officially started my photography business in 2019, the same year I became a mom. I'm FULLY convinced that motherhood & photography are the two best jobs I could dream of.
I love taking candid photos, and I make it my priority to make you feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera... AND to help you have fun!
One picture can hold so much meaning and nostalgia, and my mission is to capture and preserve moments for you that will last a lifetime.
How long do sessions last?
My sessions run 60 minutes long. More time can be added for an additional fee.
How many photos will I receive from my session?
You can expect to receive around 100 images from a full session.
How long will it take for me to receive my photos back?
You can expect to receive your gallery after 3 weeks for regular sessions, and 2 months for weddings.
Do you charge a travel fee?
I charge a travel fee for any distance longer than 20 miles away from Cedar Rapids.
Do you deliver any raw or unedited phots?
I don’t. There are a few reasons for this, but the main reason is that raw files are HUGE and unable to be printed or stored easily on your computer.
Will I have print rights to my photo gallery?
Yes. This is outlined in my contract, which you’ll sign upon booking.
What safety precautions do you take to protect our photos?
I use a Canon 5d Mark IV, which has dual memory cards backing up every photo taken. Once I arrive home after the session, I immediately back those up to 2 external hard drives. So this means that your photos are quadruple backed-up until I have delivered your edited gallery.
Can I bring more than one outfit to my session?
YES! At least one outfit change is encouraged to keep it fun and mix things up a bit. Just note that outfit changes are a part of your total session time.
Will you reschedule my session due to inclement weather?
Yes!
Do you do any kind of re-touching in Photoshop while editing?
I will edit light blemishes or things that may be clearly out of place, but I try to maintain a natural appearance to my photos and my subjects. You look great just the way you are!
Do you do weddings?
I only take on a few weddings per year, so I can save family time as my priority on the weekends. If you’re interested in inquiring, fill out the contact form and I can send you my wedding price guide!
